Primary assignment
The ward Primary President called last night with my assignment. It appears that I am now the new Jr. Nursery Leader. Our nursery is so large they have split it into two age groups. I have the younger group 18 months to possibly 2? This should be interesting. I just hope I don't have lots of crying children all the time. There are many "pros" to nursery: you get to play with toys, snack time is a must, you don't have to participate in Primary activity days or the Primary Sacrament meeting program and you have a ready made excuse to take a very long nap on Sunday after church is over. And nursery workers have a direct link to the celestial kingdom, right?!

I had thought that this blog would serve as a journal of sorts, which it hasn't and then I joined Facebook and the blog gets ignored.
I am going to try harder to do what I intended for my blog.
To update, I have served as ward Relief Society President for the past two years and today was released from that calling and put in as a primary worker. Mixed feelings really-most people congratulated me, since RS pres. is one of the harder callings in the church. I thought I had another year to serve and have to admit there were some things I wanted to see thru to completion. On the other hand, our ward has one of the biggest primaries in the stake and they are sorely in need of teachers/workers. There are a number of women who prefer to not serve in primary for various personal reasons and I totally respect that. Me, I enjoy Primary and am glad I am not "too old" to teach the children at church.
A number of years ago, I was teaching in Primary and was content to stay there the rest of my life. But, Heavenly Father had other plans for me. I am working hard to learn my earthly lessons and qualify for a place in the Kingdom. That means serving where He would have me serve and doing the best job possible.
Haven't been given a Primary assignment yet, but looking forward to whatever the Primary Presidency cooks up for me.

New Haircut/color

Of course, good luck to me getting my hair to look like this the next time I wash it and try to style it myself.
Had an interesting week-a bit of a dust up at school with a volunteer which got me invited to the Principal's office to give my side of the story. Why this volunteer couldn't "man-up" and approach me directly instead of involving the Principal is beyond me. Oh yeah, I am so unreasonable, unapproachable and sacrastic. NOT!
Then on Friday morning, as I was walking down my front porch steps, my feet went out from underneath me due to the steps being slippery from the frozen water on them. Have a nice purple bruise on my back and arm. I was worried that I would really be sore today, the day after the fall, but I popped an Aleve and I am good to go. Even got a 1/2 hour jog in!
I got my new toys delivered yesterday-ink pads, ribbon, paper so I am looking forward to playing today and maybe post a photo of playtime results later.

Family Lunch

It was fun to see everyone and lucky for us the restaurant wasn't crowded since we were there for 3 hours!
